After a big year of announcements in 2019 for the Bankstown locale, the next decade should see a significant investment in projects and infrasturuce should see some significant growth in the Bankstown area.
In March 2019, the government announced that there would be a $1.3B investment in the redevelopment of Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital on a new site, with a $25 Million investment on the existing site to be finished in 2020.
Further announcements relating to the Metro Southwest (with the government announcing it had awarded the second phase of contracts), Western Sydney University revealing plans for a Third Campus (to be completed in 2023) have driven growth and strong interest in the area.
